My hope is that this site can be a resource for those seeking help or those who are wanting to be helpers in the Healing Ministry. My book “Beyond Counseling”, covers many topics, and most of these topics I have commented on, there could be a book written for each one. Many of the topics already have books written of them. I will not try to write a book for each one however I can suggest books and resources to assist you in a more in depth study of areas of interest to you. Feel free to ask for suggested resources and I will try to refer you to one if I can.
1: HANDBOOK for HEALING – MINISTRY PREPARATION
I use this Pamphlet with anyone who comes for help. If they are struggling with a issue from the past or a current offense. I begin with an initial interview to hear enough of their story to offer them a plan that can give them hope. I then ask them to use this pamphlet to do a spiritual inventory considering the hurts of their past and work up to the present. You often won’t solve a present day offense until hurts from the past have been ministered to. This booklet has been a free resource in our church information center for years. If you are seeking help or you wish to help others this can make ministry much easier.
