About Gary Heese :

Gary Heese is a retired pastor in Kansas City Mo. Gary and his wife Carla have been involved in the healing ministry for 30 years. After training in Youth with a Mission, they established a healing ministry for spiritual and emotional healing in their local church in 1994 called Oaks of Righteousness. They have multiplied this ministry to several churches in the Kansas City area. In retirement they continue to multiply and train others in this ministry.

Healing Beyond Counseling is a systematic approach to Spiritual and Emotional healing dependent on the help of the Holy Spirit and the Power of the cross. The difference between this and many other Christian self-help books is, Healing Beyond Counseling includes the application or appropriation of the power of the cross for yourself and others.

Many who have been through the Beyond Counseling ministry and training have made statements like the following, “I have learned more in the last two months about how to live the Christian life than I have in 40 years of church life.” Or “I’ve been a believer for 20 years, I’ve known God in my mind, now I know him in my Heart.”

When interns or leaders in our church ask Healing Beyond Counseling, I tell each one the same thing. If you are going to be in ministry, you may as well know how to do ministry. The members in your church who are close to you will come to you when they need help. Are you equipped to help them?

Through the process outlined Beyond Counseling will identify bondages that may be preventing you from being who god created you to be. Because of what Jesus did on the cross for you, Where you came from is not who you have to be. That is Redemption! Our hope for you through this journey of healing is, you will enter into a state of cleansing so you may enter into the “Holy of Holies”. When you know Him in that way you will be secure in who you are and know your true worth.

This book is designed to train pastors and lay leaders to be more effective in ministry for those coming to the church for help. I have met with interns and leaders in our church who have asked about this ministry. I tell each one the same thing. If you are interested in doing ministry you may as well know how to do ministry. The members in your church you are close to will come to you for help. Are you equipped to help them?
